Job Title:

Applications Engineer – SOLIDWORKS CAD

DESCRIPTION:   

As an Applications Engineer your primary responsibility will be to support clients on the Helpdesk and with Training. Both activities will require working from an office environment and at the client site. The Helpdesk role requires assisting clients in diagnosing issues and performing technical services (such as training) related to SOLIDWORKS CAD. The successful candidate will have a solutions-based approach to solving customer issues/requirements.  Must be comfortable performing onsite service activities such as installs and software upgrades.

 ADDITIONAL DETAILS:   

  • Provide comprehensive customer technical support via phone, web, and onsite.
  • Execute onsite software service work including software upgrades.
  • Expand your own job knowledge & skill set through ongoing training and personal development activities.
  • Report activities and results to your manager.

 EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:    

  • Degree in Engineering, or CSWP, and equivalent professional experience.
  • Two or more years of industry experience.
  • Good knowledge of SOLIDWORKS 3D Design software.
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and related client and web-based software applications.
  • Three or more solid employment references from relevant sources.
  • Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and eager to learn.
  • An ability to work well in a team environment with fellow engineers, sales team, and customers.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undertake travel within the UK.

Job Title:

Applications Engineer – Data Management (PDM/PLM)

DESCRIPTION:   

As an Applications Engineer for Data Management, your primary responsibility will be to support clients on the Helpdesk, with Training, and PDM/PLM implementations. These activities will require working from an office environment and at the client site. The role requires assisting clients in diagnosing issues and performing technical services (training & implementation) related to PDM/PLM. The successful candidate will have a solutions-based approach to solving customer issues/requirements.  Must be comfortable performing onsite service activities such as installs, software upgrades, PDM/PLM configuration etc.

 ADDITIONAL DETAILS:   

  • Manage implementations of PDM/PLM.
  • Provide comprehensive customer technical support via phone, web, and onsite.
  • Accurately scope service projects for quoting purposes.
  • Execute onsite software service work including multi-site upgrades.
  • Perform onsite data migration services into PDM/PLM systems.
  • Expand your own job knowledge & skill set through ongoing training and personal development activities.
  • Report activities and results to your manager.
