Easily Create Stunning Digital Content Straight from the Product Model

This might not come as huge surprise as Germany is one of the largest auto manufacturers in the world, but growing up in the Stuttgart area in Germany I’ve always been very interested in cars. Since I was a kid, I enjoyed sketching cars and painting model cars, so I’ve always had a thing for making things visually appealing. After studying mechanical engineering and industrial design, I went straight into the rendering and visualization software field, and I’ve been immersed in that world for 20+ years now. With that being said, I know perfectly well when it comes to product design, aesthetics is important and the ability to convey your vision and share with your team or customers is equally, if not more important.

To help you do just that, we’ve got this super cool role in the 3DEXPERIENCE® Works portfolio called Product Communicator— a browser-based solution that runs on our cloud-based 3DEXPERIENCE® platform. Not only can you create eye-catching renderings and product shots, but you can also make interactive videos and technical illustrations directly from your web-browser.

Creating product visuals from your computer-aided design (CAD) model at any stage of your product design is simple. And the ability to envision what your final product will look like upfront, well— that’s priceless. Not only can you share your vision internally with your colleagues, but you can share it with your customers without having to produce a physical prototype.

With Product Communicator you can easily send your rendering job to the cloud with a push of a button and get a realistic image within minutes.

Did I mention it’s also fun? You’ll find there are many options to get creative and promote your products in a playful and compelling way. For instance, with the Scene Creation feature you can create versatile product communication scenes exploring various material options, ambience, and camera views.

An example of the multiple scenes you can capture with different camera angles, materials and ambience settings.

Forget about old school product photo shoots that are costly and time-consuming. With Product Communicator you can easily set the stage for your product and put it on a pedestal so to speak with the 360° view capability.

Quickly apply and preview multiple background settings.
Preview and rotate your model with interactive touchscreen capability on any device.
Show product details in exploded view and photorealistic quality.

One of the things that makes us stand out from the competition is the interactive storytelling capability. Thanks to the Scene Concept feature, you can easily build a storyboard or presentation to demonstrate various scenarios of a product. You can even turn your storyboard into a video with just one click of a button.

Convince your audience. With Product Communicator you can simply communicate and explain product functionality and value and win your colleagues and your customers over.

We’ve also got you covered on the technical side with the ability to show exploded views providing a breakdown of the product with technical details and annotations for technical illustrations.

Our built-in vector graphic technology provides maximum accuracy when you publish your scenes as technical illustrations for user guides or product descriptions.

With Product Communicator you don’t have to be an expert. The whole team can take advantage of this solution, whether you’re in design, marketing, or sales. Simply fire up your browser and use the Getting Started panel and start transforming the product for your purpose within a matter of clicks.

Another perk of Product Communicator on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform is you can store all your rendering productions and interactive presentations in a centralized, secure location on the cloud and access and manage it from any device and repurpose it later.

Ultimately, you’ll find that you (and your colleagues) can produce high-quality assets with minimal time and effort, and review and collaborate on them in the cloud.
