What’s New SOLIDWORKS 2017: 3D Interconnect Part 2

It’s that time again! Over the next few weeks, our Territory Technical Managers will be sharing their thoughts and walking us through a closer look at some of their favourite new features in SOLIDWORKS 2017.

3D Interconnect – Opening legacy data in SOLIDWORKS is straightforward. A simple File Open, and from there SOLIDWORKS processes the data and displays it in short order. With 3D Interconnect, the original colours are maintained, as are the file names and assembly structure. Any of the sub-assemblies or components can be saved as SOLIDWORKS files when needed. Your 3D legacy data is preserved and useful for future design iterations with SOLIDWORKS.
