{"id":6859,"date":"2022-11-29T13:56:55","date_gmt":"2022-11-29T13:56:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidapps.co.uk\/blog\/?p=6859"},"modified":"2022-11-30T22:52:18","modified_gmt":"2022-11-30T22:52:18","slug":"solidworks-customer-portal-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidapps.co.uk\/blog\/2022\/11\/solidworks-customer-portal-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"SOLIDWORKS Customer Portal changes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dassault Syst\u00e8mes (3DS) has been working towards a unified ordering and support management system to improve many aspects of their business, including the end-user experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their goal is to have clients across all brands serviced by a single business system (DSx Client Care and Order). This will allow 3DS and their Business Partners (i.e., Distributors, Value-Added Resellers) to give you a best-in-class experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On November 7th, your organization&#8217;s records (licensed products, contacts, etc.) were transitioned into the target business system. You may notice padlocks next to item in the SOLIDWORKS Customer Portal when logged in; don\u2019t worry, this just means some of the services have moved over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solidapps.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sw-customer-portal-padlocks.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6860\" width=\"495\" height=\"496\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.solidapps.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sw-customer-portal-padlocks.png 660w, https:\/\/www.solidapps.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sw-customer-portal-padlocks-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/www.solidapps.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sw-customer-portal-padlocks-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 495px) 100vw, 495px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, please note the following changes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>SOLIDWORKS Subscription Services<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will no longer need to register a SOLIDWORKS Serial Number to gain Subscription Service benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rather, entitlement will be defined at the organizational level. Your organization will be entitled to Subscription Service benefits as long as it owns and maintains SOLIDWORKS products. Any contact within your organization will be considered entitled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Should you have any issue with your Subscription Service benefits, please contact your SOLIDWORKS Administrator or your SOLIDWORKS reseller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>3DEXPERIENCE ID<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beginning November 7th, you a must \u201cLog in with 3DEXPERIENCE ID\u201d when prompted on solidworks.com, my.solidworks.com, or 3ds.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"630\" height=\"647\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solidapps.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ds-login-layout-6.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6861\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.solidapps.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ds-login-layout-6.png 630w, https:\/\/www.solidapps.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ds-login-layout-6-292x300.png 292w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the only method that will grant you access to Subscription Services benefits, such as <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.solidworks.com\/sw\/support\/downloads.htm\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.solidworks.com\/sw\/support\/downloads.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Software Downloads<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/my.solidworks.com\/training\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/my.solidworks.com\/training\" target=\"_blank\">Training<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/support.3ds.com\/knowledge-base\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/support.3ds.com\/knowledge-base\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Knowledge Base<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dspart004-eu1-partners-ifwe.3dexperience.3ds.com\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/dspart004-eu1-partners-ifwe.3dexperience.3ds.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Support<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You no longer need to visit the SOLIDWORKS Customer Portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To log in using your 3DEXPERIENCE ID, use the same email address and password you currently use for your SOLIDWORKS ID today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"630\" height=\"140\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solidapps.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ds-login-email-6.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6862\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.solidapps.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ds-login-email-6.png 630w, https:\/\/www.solidapps.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ds-login-email-6-300x67.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, please visit this <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.solidworks.com\/support\/transition-3dexperience-login-dsxclient-care-order\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.solidworks.com\/support\/transition-3dexperience-login-dsxclient-care-order\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">page<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>SOLIDWORKS Admin Portal<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"544\" height=\"280\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solidapps.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/my-sw-admin-portal.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6863\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.solidapps.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/my-sw-admin-portal.png 544w, https:\/\/www.solidapps.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/my-sw-admin-portal-300x154.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 544px) 100vw, 544px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For SOLIDWORKS Administrators, you will no longer use the SOLIDWORKS Admin Portal (launched from My.SolidWorks.com) to manage your use of SOLIDWORKS products and services. The functionality in the \u201cMembers\u201d tab will be moved to the Contact Administration Tool in DSx Client Care and Order. The Contact Administration tool allows you to view and manage the people who are associated with your organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As stated above, you do not need to assign products to members anymore to grant access to Subscription Services. You only need to add a contact to an entitled organization. If one of your team needs access to Subscription Services, the new process is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\">\n<li>Log in to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/dsxclient.3ds.com\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/dsxclient.3ds.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">DSx Client Care and Order<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click Contact Administration from the Main Menu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the contact<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assign a role. Generally, the \u201cSupport Restricted\u201d role is appropriate for most SOLIDWORKS users.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The contact will be considered entitled when they log in with a 3DEXPERIENCE ID using the same email address you defined when you added the contact. If they do not have a 3DEXPERIENCE ID, they can create one at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SOLIDWORKS Administrators have been automatically granted the Security Administrator role for their organizations, which allows access to Contact Administration. If you do not see Contact Administration in the DSx Client Care and Order Main Menu, please contact your SOLIDWORKS Reseller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The replacement for the \u201cProducts\u201d tab in the Admin Portal is planned for February 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>CAD Admin Dashboard<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CAD Admin Dashboard will not be accessible during this first wave of migration. 3DS are making every effort to restore it for migrated customers in February 2023.
