During this period of time SOLIDWORKS Electrical has seen several major improvements which have given users the tools they needed to be more efficient and to get their products to market faster. This was accomplished both by user feedback as well as a good team of developers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"colorbox-40303\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/solidworksblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/03\/electrical201.png\" width=\"700\" height=\"409\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When I first started with the software, I was impressed with intuitive UI and the ease of use.\u00a0I was able to get up and running creating projects within a week.\u00a0Since that time the software has continued to improve.\u00a0A few examples of the enhancements that we have seen over the past few releases are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0<strong>SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2017<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0 Route harness as splines<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0 Define Electrical Assemblies<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0 Excel Automation<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0<strong>SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2018<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0 PDM Vault Integration<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0 Custom Classifications<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0 Distributed mode<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0 Terminals<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Terminal Strip level parts &amp; accessories (Spacers, etc.)<br \/>\n\u2013 Level mark<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0<strong>SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2019<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0 Increased Routing performance<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0 Flatten table content clean up<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0 SQL Query update (Views &amp; Extended Views)<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0 Routing \u2013 Fixed length coverings<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0 Updated UI for 4K displays<\/p>\n<p>With all of the enhancements mentioned above and with the standard out of the box tools SOLIDWORKS Electrical has continued to grow to become a leader in ECAD software. While I have been impressed with the enhancements that we have seen I must say that I have never been as excited about the future of this product then I am today.<\/p>\n<p>With Dassault Systemes recent acquisition of Trace Software\u2019s elecworks assets, SOLIDWORKS Electrical is poised to grow at a rate like never before. \u00a0As part of the acquisition DASSAULT SYSTEMES will acquire 100 percent of the Trace Software elecworks electrical design and automation product line as well as all intellectual property.\u00a0 An elecworks team of 21 software developers, technical support engineers and quality assurance engineers dedicated to electrical schematics will be joining DASSAULT SYSTEMES.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"colorbox-40303\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/solidworksblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/03\/electrical202.png\" width=\"700\" height=\"227\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This all but proves DASSAULT SYSTEMES commitment to providing a best in class electrical design tool that fully integrates into the SOLIDWORKS ecosystem, giving you the tools you need to succeed in today\u2019s demanding market.<\/p>\n<p>I hope that you are as excited about the future of this product as I am.\u00a0 The future is definitely bright for SOLIDWORKS Electrical and with the help of you, the user, we can continue to push the limits of electrical design.<\/p>\n<p>We will be hosting webinars on April 25<sup>th<\/sup> and May 2<sup>nd<\/sup> where I will presenting in more detail the enhancements mentioned above.\u00a0 We will also be presenting on Electrical implementation best practices during this webinar.\u00a0 To register for this webinar <a href=\"https:\/\/attendee.gotowebinar.com\/rt\/4732014769435950081\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in learning more about SOLIDWORKS Electrical, The SOLIDWORKS ECAD Solutions Technical Team is holding two (2) distinct mini-series webinars.
