Under <strong><span class=\"ph uicontrol\">SOLIDWORKS Content<\/span><\/strong> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/help.solidworks.com\/2018\/english\/solidworks\/sldworks\/yqh1450446872772.image\" alt=\"Open_in_SW.gif\" \/>, in the <span class=\"ph uicontrol\">Weldments<\/span> folder, <span class=\"ph uicontrol\">Ctrl + click<\/span> items to download <strong><span class=\"ph filepath\">.zip<\/span><\/strong> files.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p stem\"><strong>To create a weldment profile:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open a new part.<\/li>\n<li>Sketch a profile. Keep in mind that when you create a weldment structural member using the profile:\n<ol>\n<li>The origin of the sketch becomes the default pierce point.<\/li>\n<li>Y<span class=\"li\">ou can select any vertex or sketch point in the sketch as an alternate pierce point. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ph cmd\">Close the sketch.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ph cmd\">In the FeatureManager design tree, select <strong><span class=\"ph uicontrol\">Sketch1<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ph cmd\">Click <span class=\"ph menucascade\"><strong><span class=\"ph uicontrol\">File<\/span> <\/strong>&gt; <strong><span class=\"ph uicontrol\">Save As<\/span><\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ph cmd\">In the dialog box:<\/span>\n<ol>\n<li><span class=\"li substep\"><span class=\"ph cmd\">In <strong><span class=\"ph uicontrol\">Save in<\/span><\/strong>, browse to <strong><em><span class=\"ph filepath\"> <var class=\"keyword varname\">install_dir<\/var>\\lang\\<var class=\"keyword varname\">language<\/var>\\weldment profiles<\/span><\/em><\/strong> and select or create appropriate <strong><var class=\"keyword varname\">&lt;standard&gt;<\/var><\/strong> and <strong><var class=\"keyword varname\">&lt;type&gt;<\/var><\/strong> subfolders. See Weldments &#8211; File Location for Custom Profiles.<\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"li substep\"><span class=\"ph cmd\">In <strong><span class=\"ph uicontrol\">Save as type<\/span><\/strong>, select <strong><span class=\"ph uicontrol\">Lib Feat Part (*.sldlfp)<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"li substep\"><span class=\"ph cmd\">Type a name for <strong><span class=\"ph uicontrol\">Filename<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"li substep\"> <span class=\"ph cmd\">Click <strong><span class=\"ph uicontrol\">Save<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span>\n<div class=\"itemgroup info\">\n<div class=\"note tip\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/help.solidworks.com\/2018\/support\/art\/sw-tip.gif\" width=\"24\" height=\"24\" \/>The name that you give to the library feature part appears in the <strong><span class=\"ph uicontrol\">Size<\/span> <\/strong>list in the <span class=\"keyword wintitle\">Structural Member<\/span> PropertyManager when you create a weldment structural member. For example, if you name the profile <strong><span class=\"ph filepath\">1x1x.125.sldlfp<\/span><\/strong>, then <strong><span class=\"ph uicontrol\">1x1x.125<\/span><\/strong> appears in <strong><span class=\"ph uicontrol\">Size<\/span><\/strong>.
