Although this method still works with the newest versions of PDM, it does not give the most accurate up to date information. The \u2018old way\u2019 had two different methods to gather license usage. The first was to run a SQL script on the SQL server. The other was to use the Report Generator. SNL licensing is now the current method to view and manage licenses in SOLIDWORKS PDM.<\/p>\n<p>The easiest method to view license usage is to click on the \u2018License Usage\u2019 tab in the PDM Admin tool \u2018License\u2019 node. One tool that we recommend is to view the SNL log (lmgrd.log), which can be viewed by clicking on the \u2018View Log\u2019 button under the \u2018Server Administration\u2019 tab in the SNL License Manager Tool. Further information regarding the lmutil tool can be found in knowledge base solution S-044521, as well as the Licensing Administration Guide found in \u2018C:\\Program Files (x86)\\SOLIDWORKS SolidNetWork License Manager\\Docs\\flexuser\\licensingenduserguide.pdf\u2019.
