Join the crowd. But you don\u2019t have to be stuck and forced to reboot your computer to that file or folder gets released. The Windows Microsoft\u00ae \u2018Resource Monitor\u2019 be used to end a process currently holding on to a file (or folder) you are trying to delete.<\/p>\n<p>The steps below describe how to do it. In the example, a folder (containing a temporarily cached SWPDM plugin) needs to be deleted in order to test the reload of the plugin file in SOLIDWORKS PDM.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make an attempt to delete the folder. They are preventing the folder from being deleted. The following problem was identified with SOLIDWORKS\u00ae 2017 SP4:SPR 1039919 (Closing files in SOLIDWORKS 2017 SP4 with the SOLIDWORKS PDM Client add-in enabled may cause SOLIDWORKS to become unresponsive.)This problem does not exist in SOLIDWORKS\u00a02017\u00a0SP3 or in older service packs of the SOLIDWORKS\u00a02017 software.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h2><strong>General Hotfix for SOLIDWORKS\u00ae 2016 SP5 (SPR#988107)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div>A hotfix is available for SOLIDWORKS\u00ae 2016 SP5 that addresses the following issue:<br \/>\nSPR#988107 \u2013 3D Printing Print, Plot: 3D Printing button shows up in the print dialog but does not work when printing drawing on Windows 10 or 8.<\/div>\n<div>The hotfix for this issue is included in attachment of Solution Id: <a href=\"https:\/\/customerportal.solidworks.com\/eservice_enu\/start.swe?SWECmd=GotoView&amp;SWEView=SW+KBase+Solution+View+%28eService%29&amp;SWERF=1&amp;SWEBU=1&amp;SWEApplet0=SW+KBase+Solution+Form+Applet+%28eService%29&amp;SWERowId0=1-6O4HYS3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S-073341<\/a>.
