Based in Oldbury, near Birmingham, Solid Applications Ltd. specialises in the supply, implementation and support of engineering solutions.\u00a0 The company was founded in January 1998, by Chris Hill, Managing Director.\u00a0 It won the first of many “Reseller of the Year\u201d Awards that year and has subsequently won regular recognition for both its sales success and its high quality of customer support.<\/p>\n

Delcam for SolidWorks combines the benefits associated with Delcam\u2019s PowerMILL and FeatureCAM CAM systems.\u00a0 It is based on Delcam\u2019s proven machining algorithms that are already used by more than 35,000 customers around the world.\u00a0 These strategies ensure increased productivity, maximum tool life and immaculate surface finish, even when cutting the hardest, most challenging materials.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Delcam for SolidWorks has the same strong focus on ease of use as FeatureCAM, including all of the knowledge-based automation that makes the software so consistent and reliable.\u00a0 Most importantly, Delcam for SolidWorks includes FeatureCAM\u2019s Automatic Feature Recognition system which automatically extracts detailed feature information from the SolidWorks model.\u00a0 Once the features have been identified, Delcam for SolidWorks undertakes automatic selection of cutting tools, machining strategies, and feeds and speeds, to complete the programming operation.<\/p>\n
