The default timeout for the SOLIDWORKS\u00ae 2017 software to communicate with the SNL server is 100ms. If the workstation cannot communicate with the license server within 100ms, the license check out will fail with one of the following errors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Starting the SOLIDWORKS software displays the error \u2018Could not obtain a license for SOLIDWORKS. Server node is down or not responding.\u2019<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15711 colorbox-15669\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/SW2017_SNL_error_1.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 561px) 100vw, 561px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/SW2017_SNL_error_1.jpg 561w, http:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/SW2017_SNL_error_1-300x142.jpg 300w\" alt=\"\" width=\"561\" height=\"266\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Adding the SNL server address to the \u2018Add Server\u2019 dialog box in the SolidNetWork License Manager tool displays the error \u2018The license server is not reachable.
