This optional test is available for the first time in version 2016 as part of the <strong>SOLIDWORKS Rx Performance Benchmark Test<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><center><a class=\"zoomLink cboxElement\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/02-Performance-Benchmark-Test-2016-SP02-Optional-Tests-dialog.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10933 size-full colorbox-10929\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/02-Performance-Benchmark-Test-2016-SP02-Optional-Tests-dialog.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 524px) 100vw, 524px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/02-Performance-Benchmark-Test-2016-SP02-Optional-Tests-dialog.png 524w, http:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/02-Performance-Benchmark-Test-2016-SP02-Optional-Tests-dialog-300x242.png 300w\" alt=\"SOLIDWORKS Simulation Performance Benchmark Testing\" width=\"524\" height=\"422\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<h1>How to run the Simulation Performance Benchmark test?<\/h1>\n<p>Please note that you must first <strong>install the full version of the SOLIDWORKS Simulation<\/strong> product and also have one of the following <strong>licenses available<\/strong> on your computer to complete this test:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SOLIDWORKS Premium<\/li>\n<li>SOLIDWORKS Simulation Standard<\/li>\n<li>SOLIDWORKS Simulation Professional<\/li>\n<li>SOLIDWORKS Simulation Premium<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are ready to give your hardware a good workout, do the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Close all applications and reboot your computer.<\/li>\n<li>Before you open any applications, in the Windows Start menu search box, start typing \u2018SOLIDWORKS Performance Test 2016\u2019 and click on it once your system finds the program.<\/li>\n<li>In the SOLIDWORKS Performance Test dialog box, read the instructions and click on \u2018Start Benchmark\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Enable the \u2018Simulation (May add ## minutes to run the benchmark)\u2019 checkbox in the next dialog then click on \u2018Start\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Then sit back and wait as your machine performs the <a href=\"http:\/\/help.solidworks.com\/2016\/english\/solidworks\/sldworks\/t_benchmarking_hardware.htm\" target=\"_blank\">various tests you requested<\/a>. There are approximately 15,000 high quality (second order) mesh elements created by the Standard Mesher. The benchmark test measures the amount of time your computer takes to mesh and fully solve the study.
