Why DriveWorks?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Before using DriveWorks, Winder Power designed to order\u00a0using SOLIDWORKS, design tables and equation based\u00a0parts.<\/p>\n

Winder Power began with DriveWorks Solo and then\u00a0upgraded to DriveWorks Pro. They have found that the\u00a0move to DriveWorks Pro has allowed them to merge their\u00a0existing DriveWorks Solo projects together, which has\u00a0streamlined the interface for their users.<\/p>\n

Winder Power are currently using DriveWorks in their\u00a0engineering department for generating models and\u00a0drawings for several components within their design\u00a0process.<\/p>\n

These include:
\n\u2013 Full transformer assemblies
\n\u2013 Transformer active part clamp systems
\n\u2013 Oil conservators
\n\u2013 Cooler bank A-Frames
\n\u2013 Transformer rating plates<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

These components are all based on standardised design\u00a0rules and are either generated complete with the drawings\u00a0and assemblies, or partially generated. DriveWorks Pro has allowed Winder Power to design\u00a0components in much shorter time frames, with reduced\u00a0errors due to the more rigid design process. Therefore they\u00a0can offer their customers a reduced product lead time.<\/p>\n

Overall the main benefits of using DriveWorks for Winder\u00a0Power are the time savings and also the ability to build\u00a0fixed design methodology into their projects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cMerging projects further and adding additional\u00a0functionality is a continuous process for us now, and I\u00a0estimate we add additional functionality at least every\u00a0couple of months.
