Mates that exist between the selected\u00a0components are retained between the new instances. For example, let\u2019s say you have an assembly with hardware. You\u2019ve inserted a\u00a0screw and two washers and mated them together, but they are\u00a0three separate components (not a subassembly). You want to create another instance of\u00a0each of them and retain the mates between them.\u00a0In the FeatureManager design tree, Ctrl + select or Shift + select the components\u00a0to copy.\u00a0Ctrl + drag the selected components and drop them in the graphics area.\u00a0New instances of the components are created.
