SOLIDWORKS Part Reviewer: Toolbox Assembly Tutorial

drawersToolbox Assembly: This assembly was created with several sheet metal components. Almost all the parts are made with sheet metal features and can be flattened out. Several different sheet metal features are used in the individual files including edge and miter flanges, hems and jogs.

There are three configurations of the assembly which control the top cover being open, closed or being free to pivot on the hinge. There are examples of “Flexible” sub-assemblies allowing range of motion of the top cover. There is an example of Limit Angle Mate to allow full range of motion without interference. A Linear Component Pattern is used to create the multiple drawers.  Download this assembly to learn more about sheet metal features and flexible sub-assemblies.
