Using SOLIDWORKS Design Checker

UpgradeNetworkLicenses9 SOLIDWORKS Design Checker is available in SOLIDWORKS Professional and SOLIDWORKS Premium only.

To add SOLIDWORKS Design Checker to SOLIDWORKS:

  1. Click Tools > Add-ins.
  2. Select SOLIDWORKS Design Checker , then click OK.
  3. Click Tools > Design Checker.
    You can also access the Design Checker tools from the Tools toolbar.

SOLIDWORKS Design Checker has the following modules:

Build Checks

Use this tool to set the requirements for evaluation. The requirements are saved in a file with a .swstd extension.

Check Active Document

Use this tool to validate your document.

Check Against Existing File

Use this tool to validate the active document against design checks created from existing files.

Learn Checks Wizard

Use this tool to retrieve design checks based on attributes from an existing SOLIDWORKS part, assembly, or drawing document.
