Tip from the Helpdesk

With the release of V19 Update 2, you can now save Solid Edge Draft files and images of models directly to PDF. The default settings are probably suitable for most users, but to gain complete control over the options used in the PDF creation you will need to edit the preferences of the 'Velocity Series' Printer which V19 installed automatically on your PC.

Ensure that you have installed SE V19 Update 2.

Then from the XP Start Menu select...
'Printers and Faxes'

Locate the device named "Solid Edge Velocity PS Printer 2.0" and from the Context Menu click...
"Select printing preferences"

Alternatively you can select Properties from the RMB Menu and navigate to the same screen.

Click 'Advanced' and adjust the settings to suit.

Click OK to dismiss the dialog.

In Solid Edge open your document. From the File Menu choose 'Save As' and from the 'Files of Type' sub menu select "Adobe Acrobat document".

Specify a location to save the file and click Save.
