Solid Edge with Synchronous Technology, is the biggest breakthrough in CAD seen in the last 20 years.
Solid Edge with
Synchronous Technology is the most complete feature-based 2D/3D CAD
system available to the market today that combines the speed and
flexibility of direct modelling with precise control of dimension
driven design, to provide the fastest, most flexible design
experience possible.
How do you answer the following?
How can I innovate faster than my competition?
How do I capture my ideas as fast as I think them?
How do I change my design as fast as I change my mind?
How do I thrive in a multi-CAD world?
When will CAD be so simple anyone can use it?
Let us show you how you can design faster than you competition Using Solid Edge with Synchronous Technology and get up to a 100X faster design experience.
Using Solid Edge with Synchronous Technology you can:-
Innovate faster with
a new interactive design environment
Use grab-n-go tools to get results quicker
Design with 3D Driving Dimensions
Collecting features without forcing order
Iterate designs with unbounded speed and flexibility
Recognize and maintain intent with Live Rules
Drive change with 3D Driving Dimensions
Edit Procedural Features without regeneration
Edit geometry regardless of creation order
Edit outsourced CAD data faster than the vendor who supplied it
Automatically select geometry based on function
Tools make edits to
any model like native data
Harness the power of 3D with the simplicity of 2D
Stretch 3D models as if they were 2D
Use a consistent Office-style user interface
Before synchronous technology, there were two main types of
modelling systems: history-based systems and explicit modellers.
History-based systems use a sequential feature tree to store the
order of operations. These modellers are highly automated and
dimension-driven, but lack editing flexibility and require some
preplanning. These limitations make them less tolerant of ad hoc
changes and require the editor to know the
recipe or feature dependencies. Edits are also subject to slow
performance for larger models as change(s) requires the
feature tree to recalculate each time a feature is edited.
With synchronous technology, Solid Edge redefines the rules for 3D modelling by combining the speed and flexibility of explicit modelling with control and parameterized design of a history-based system, allowing you to work directly on model geometry to create designs, edit more fluidly and innovate faster than your competition without increasing your current design team. Some of the highlights that enable you to design with a 100x faster design experience and make Solid Edge with Synchronous Technology such a groundbreaking release are:
Live rules enable flexible editing by automatically maintaining relationships such as coplanar, tangent, concentric, horizontal or vertical within your 3D geometry, by intent or inference.
Procedural features allow you to change parameters for holes, patterns, thinwall and rounds, thereby maintaining feature-based design, without feature-to-feature dependencies.
Driving 3D dimensions can be added directly to completed models and edited, and directional options are offered to give the ultimate in control.
Table- and formula-driven design capabilities maintain highly automated, parametric design functions of Solid Edge.
Synchronous solve allows bi-directional direct geometry editing. Features can be edited regardless of the order they were created, eliminating any parent/child dependencies between features, either in a single part or across multiple components in an assembly.
